Etch Primer

Product Description : Etch (Wash) Primer Yellow
This primer is an anti-corrosive primer, having excellent adhesion on Galvanized Sheets, Aluminium & Mild Sheets. This primer is specially formulated for fast drying with longer pot life.

Recommended Uses Suitable for overcoating by all types of paint systems like QD, Epoxy,Stoving , P.U. & NC

ADVANTAGES Very hard and abrasion resistant to Corrosions of pipe, waste and sea water Tank. Suitable for organic and inorganic acids and mineral oils Coated surface can be steam cleaned. Impermeable to carbon dioxide, thus protects concrete against carbonization

  • Specific Gravity : 0.95 (± 0.05) kg/ltr
  • D.F.T. : 5 to 10 microns per coat
  • Viscosity : 80 (±10) seconds by B4 Ford cup
  • Flash point : 24° C
  • Pot Life : 4-6 hours

Surface Preparation: Surface Should be Clean ,Dry & Free From Moisture & oil.

Application Conditions: Ambient temperature shall be above 10°C and relative humidity shall be below 85%. Adequate ventilation shall be provided in confined spaces

Mixing: Stir well with mechanical stirrer before application

Mixing ratio: 1 parts Primer : 1 part Etch Primer Hardner

Application method : By air assisted spray gun

Finish: Smooth & Matt.

Adhesion: Excellent – 5B passes.

Spreading Capacity: 120 (± 10) sq.ft . per coat at 5-10 microns DFT

Re-coat ability: After 1-2 hours & before 16 hours

Shelf Life: 06 months

(Recommended: Overcoating by Stoving HP High solids paint ; intercoat adhesion passes)
